As for me personally having a goal in mind, plus a planned program helps. Being having a slight OCD, I just have the tendency wanting to clear what’s on my schedule. I just feel better if I complete a workout, if not I feel a certain lacking in my life.
I don’t really see my trainings as a chore, it’s part of my lifestyle.
Also keeps the training ‘fun’, meaning not just stick to just one boring routine. Try out new workouts and keep it interesting. There’s always many other ways to train a certain specific workouts.
