Tips on Trainers and Feetwear |

I’ve never had any issue with footwear all these years. To me its not a matter of getting the most expensive or advanced trainers around. It’s all about comfort and knowing what to look for in your running shoes
Currently my trainers are two pairs of cheap China brand running shoes. I alternate it as I found out over the years, if it rains when I run, that particular wet shoes won’t be dry by the next day. Also its great to prevent injuries as wearing overworn shoes can lead to injuries. Having two pairs spreads the usage
Well for advise about trainers, what you need firstly is a sports store membership card if you’re a frequent sports apparels and item shopper. It’s great to have discounts as much as 50% to get your sports stuff
Secondly don’t forget the socks. Don’t go cheap on them. Get a good ankle sock or if you’re into high-knee socks, so be it. It will cushion you against the stress of running for the lower legs, thus preventing injuries. Get those specific, athletic socks, they’re more suited for us runners
Thirdly when I look for my trainers, the soles are very important. Look for high cushioned soles which gives an elevated heels feeling. When trying it on, it mustn’t be too stiff and provides a certain flexibility when testing the shoe. Don’t be ashamed to run in the store. It’s an investment, as you’ve to live with it for the next 6 months and dictates your future injury possibility
Also take a look at your feet. Your feet make-up is different for each person. Some are flat footed, some are under-pronators and such. You can do a simple test by wetting the sole of the feet and step on the floor. See the wet impression and you’ll know if you need shoes that have additional stability on your inside or outside of the sole
Well I do hope the tips above helped. It’s your feet, and you should take care of it. Don’t let it rot :p
