Look for socks that absorb moisture. I usually find these socks at athletics sports store. They’re bound to have it. look for terms like Coolmax, moisture-wicking acrylics or polyester blends. They have a certain quality to the socks where it helps to prevent blisters and importantly keep your feet dry
Don’t just get any common cotton socks. I find that it get wet easily and cause blisters due to the friction from the wet sock
Unlike in European countries, they have seasons. So they have a variety of socks types to use. Wool blends for winter, and polyester acrylic types for summer. In Singapore just stick to Coolmax brand
As for the thickness for sock types, it doesn’t matter. Some prefer the thin types, while for me I like the thick feeling. The snug tight feeling of socks against my trainers. You can buy any thickness of socks, as long the sock has absorb moisture features, you’re safe
Another tip I would like to share is bring your socks when you’re buying your trainers. I really do!
I want to ensure the trainers I chose and bought are the right fit. Some socks you’re using can go up to half a size. So without bringing your favorite sock, you might just buy the wrong running shoes
