What You Can Do To Prevent Stroke

Stroke is a common and leading cause of disability among adults in the world today, behind cancer and heart disease, where 75 per cent of the time it leaves the survivor disabled.

I’m just boggle at people who are at risk getting strokes and not doing anything to prevent it.

Did you know that 80 per cent of strokes are preventable.

Well if you’re over 50 years old, with high-risk lifestyle such as overweight, smokes, drinks alcohol, under plenty of stress, don’t exercise, eat food high in salt and fat, well you’re the lot who are more susceptible to strokes.

To prevent strokes, go for regular medical check-ups. Do monitor and treat your high blood pressure. And please do something about it.

It’s all about leading a healthy lifestyle. You can’t beat a good workout as it reduces stress and helps you stay off the cigarettes.

There’s even drugs available for such high risk factor potential stroke patients, where such anti-platelet drugs helps to unclog blood vessel for any blood vessel abnormalities if found during medical check-up.

So do yourself, family and friends a favor, its time to start taking charge of your life!
