As kids most of us we were slim and slender. We were truly active and with high metabolism, being thin back then was effortless right.
Now we’ve grown older, as we’re introduced to food and facets of life which deny us time to run freely like we used to as kids, how can we be effortlessly thin again?
Well you might be surprised its much simpler than you think.
- Exercise Consistently – I think many people miss out the very ‘secret’ of being thin. The keyword is consistency. I know plenty of people started out enthusiastically the first weeks of training, but after that they fizzle out. For me I don’t usually think of my workouts as exercises or something to do, but more of part of life. It’s just something I need to do daily like sleeping or eating. You don’t even need to go out to exercise, home exercises can be as effective.
- Know Your Weight - One of the thing I do weekly is taking note of my weight. At the gym, there’s this electronic weighing scale. I just hop on it quickly and jot it down. Usually my weight don’t deviate that much. If it does, I’ll look into my training or diet. It’s about being aware of your weight and keep it at a healthy scale.
- Know When To Stop – For me I would usually stop eating when I’m near to full. The only exception is when I’m out on a buffet, which is not often itself. But yeah I know eating even when you’re already full is really bad. How much can your gut take and expand. I’m truly amazed at people who can still gorge down food when they’re full.
- Don’t Diet – In my whole life, I’ve never been on a diet. It’s just a fat loss gimmick by marketers to dupe your money into buying their diet fat loss program. Forget that diet mentality and focus more on lifestyle changes. You just need to change what you eat, how you eat it, the amount, the serving and frequency. Thin people tend to eat more fibre, drink more water and consume smaller portions of meals evenly spread out over the day.
- Comfort Food - Most people I know who are stressed, sad, down and out usually turn to food to comfort them. Food won’t solve your problems, it will just add more extra pounds, making you feel even worse after that short eating burst. How about when you have the urge, just think of an alternative options like walking, taking the dog for a walk or just have sex?
