I would have thought what we’re born with, we’ve to settle with what genes we were passed down from our parents. But it seems that a study by Preventive Medicine Research Institute and the University of California, San Francisco in collaboration with Dr. Peter Carroll, Dr. Mark Magbanua and Dr. Chris Haqq found out that if you change your lifestyle, you can change your genes! Yes indeed you can, according to their study. What’s define by changing one’s lifestyle is having better diet, good stress management and psychosocial support. The study was done over 500 genes in mens with early stages of prostate cancer. The findings indicate the biopsies for men with lifestyle changes saw changes in normal tissue within the prostate for the better. The tumors was also suppressed and overall they reduced their chances of cancer. These men were on a plant based diet like fruits, veggies, soy and grains. Plus exercises like walking for half an hour daily, yoga for their stress and a weekly support group for them to handle their disease. So there you go. Rather than paying thousands of dollars on treatment and chemotherapy, just by changing your lifestyle, the inexpensive way, it would improve your quality of life. Don’t just believe on my saying, but the study itself. That’s a whole lot of proof to back the claims. So Be Fit People, You’ve A Choice! via source
