Gene Mutation Lowers Heart Risks |

I know some of you will hate me after this post.
Well a study by University of Maryland on ‘Heredity and Phenotype Intervention Study’ which examines genes and how lifestyle factors are influencing the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, found out that some people are born with a gene mutation called APOC3.
It seems only 5% of the 809 people they studied on, has his gene which is like a built-in drug that lowers your cholesterol.
So no matter how much fatty food and drinks you consumed, your cholesterol level won’t be affected that much.
Those with APOC3 mutation has less artery calcification, healthier hearts and higher HDL good cholesterol.
Hmm I think I might have the gene itself. I’ve been know to gobble down food and not get fat. I’ve always been stick-thin all my life.
