People Who Exercise Have Better Brains |

Studies such as Fernando Gomez-Pinilla of UCLA have shown that regular exercise can protect the brain and such people are a fast learner than most.
Fernando Gomez-Pinilla added, “If deprived of energy for more than one minute, the neuron dies. All the physiology of the body is designed to protect the brain.”
So doing workouts makes you think clearer and bounce back from brain injuries faster, such as strokes.
Gym rats to runners are less prone to depression and age-related cognitive decline.
Another study by Carl Cotman, of University of California says “By acting as a mild stressor, exercise is an alternative way to spur many of the protective benefits associated with calorie restriction and the release of brain-building growth factors”.
This is sound proof again why you need to start pounding that treadmill or get active.
And how much of exercise is deem enough you might ask? Well as long you get off the couch and do something physical, that’s more than enough.
You don’t need to over do it of course, find a balance between work and ‘play’.
