It is been said that an extra 2,000 steps a day or or one mile of walking will help in your weight loss. No this is no gimmick, but a real claim! What you just need is just a pedometer to measure your stride. Take an average of 2.5 steps per stride. You can get a pedometer cheap, as low as $10 from budgeted stores. Although the general consensus, started by the Japanese, that one should walk 10,000 steps a day, or about five miles, well let’s not get too ambitious if you’re new. 1,000 or 2,000 steps is better than nothing right, so start small and build from there. Your 1,000 steps will equal to 100 fewer calories per day. So if you do the math, you’ll be cutting down on that calories intake of yours as you get fitter daily with your walking routines.
