23 ways to eat fast food yet still be healthy

People just assume I’m always on a diet and skip fast food totally. Well they’re dead wrong. I’m totally against a strict diet, its all about a balance meal and fast food is indeed part of my eating habit. Although not often, I do dine out at fast food outlet on the occasion

  1. Go for the salad, minus the fried toppings
  2. Skip the cheese
  3. Ask for extra onions, lettuce, and tomato
  4. Order unsweetened iced tea or bottled water
  5. Choose 1% or skim milk as your drink
  6. Always say no to the special sauce
  7. Use hot sauce, not ketchup, on your french fries
  8. Do not supersize
  9. In fact, order a kid’s meal
  10. Get a sub sandwich
  11. Don’t be fooled by low-carb claims
  12. Use a fast-food item as part of a meal
  13. Get some kind of vegetable and/or fruit with every fast-food meal
  14. Get skinless chicken
  15. Order a taco salad without the shell or sour cream, and ask for only half the cheese
  16. Look for ways to sneak in fiber
  17. Look for the word “Jr.”
  18. Avoid value meals
  19. Look for the words “grilled,” “baked,” or “broiled.”
  20. Have an apple, banana, nonfat yogurt
  21. Eat breakfast at home and save fast food for lunch or dinner
  22. Make a supermarket your fast-food restaurant
  23. Avoid processed or cured meats
