
People just assume I’m always on a diet and skip fast food totally. Well they’re dead wrong. I’m totally against a strict diet, its all about a balance meal and fast food is indeed part of my eating habit. Although not often, I do dine out at fast food outlet on the occasion
- Go for the salad, minus the fried toppings
- Skip the cheese
- Ask for extra onions, lettuce, and tomato
- Order unsweetened iced tea or bottled water
- Choose 1% or skim milk as your drink
- Always say no to the special sauce
- Use hot sauce, not ketchup, on your french fries
- Do not supersize
- In fact, order a kid’s meal
- Get a sub sandwich
- Don’t be fooled by low-carb claims
- Use a fast-food item as part of a meal
- Get some kind of vegetable and/or fruit with every fast-food meal
- Get skinless chicken
- Order a taco salad without the shell or sour cream, and ask for only half the cheese
- Look for ways to sneak in fiber
- Look for the word “Jr.”
- Avoid value meals
- Look for the words “grilled,” “baked,” or “broiled.”
- Have an apple, banana, nonfat yogurt
- Eat breakfast at home and save fast food for lunch or dinner
- Make a supermarket your fast-food restaurant
- Avoid processed or cured meats
