A recent findings in the The Journal of Sexual Medicine reveals that a patient’s sex life or libido increased after having a weight loss surgery done.
This is especially so when he is suffering from obesity-related erectile dysfunction.
The problem is that obese men have low levels of testosterone and with erectile dysfunction, their libido is atrocious. With the surgery it seems such men have better sex.
The study also reveals that such surgery benefits are less clear for women. Obese women have more sexual impairment than obese men and the study indicates this is likely due to psychological issues and low self-esteem. Not physiological but more of psychological.
