Mediterranean Diet Hard Hit By Fast Food |

I love Mediterranean diet. I’ve incorporated it in my daily intake as it is low in saturated fat, high in monounsaturated fat and dietary fiber.
They says its the ideal diet as it lower the rates of cardiovascular disease, despite relatively high amounts of fat. This is thought to be largely due to the amount of olive oil used in the Mediterranean diet, where it lowers cholesterol levels in the blood.
But it seems the people who created and consume the Mediterranean diet are replacing it with fast food. Yes the Greeks are now content with eating junk.
It is reported three-quarters of the adult population in Greece are overweight or obese, the worst rate in Europe.
That’s terrible and the government are trying to save their ‘food culture’ and the waistlines of their population by educating them, starting with the schools.
I hope its not a lost cause
