Cholesterol drugs helps lowers risk of prostate cancer and even impotency |

A 15-year study of men ages 40 to 79 by the Mayo Clinic of Rochester found that cholesterol drugs not only helps in lowering your cholesterol levels but also prevent heart attacks, lower the risk of prostate cancer and even impotence in aging men.
Cholesterol drugs such as statin drugs had a threefold lower chance of being diagnosed with prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, benign prostate enlargement and urinary problems compared to those not on such drugs.
There’s still needed more study to be done as statin cancer studies have a history of mixed results.
The findings are preliminary and there’s a need for more evidence to support a theory that statins could protect against development of cancer.
