
A study from University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center has found that if taken in large quantities, blueberries can get rid of that stubborn belly fat.
The control subject was lab rats which was on a high-fat diets.
The rats was then given blueberries and it seems the antioxidants in the fruit helped the rats to shed weight.
Also noted in the study was how the blueberry powder lowered the levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides and increased the resistance to diabetes.
How much blueberries should you take then? Well in the study blueberries made up two per cent of the rats’ daily diet. So go figure that out.
