Hi there people, you might noticed my MIA status of training here at this blog. Well not to fret, I’ve not stopped blogging nor have I decided to quit training, but I was in my off-season here
That means laying off and preparing for the next cycle of training, which requires detailed planning, consolidating previous training and diet findings, and with the findings, to improve for upcoming training basically
The past year or so I’ve really learned a lot and I can’t wait for the next cycle to start, which is on 31st June. Until then I’ve been laying off training, but the diet is still maintained
I took one week off and I’ll do some cardio and familiarize myself with the new body conditioning workouts later in the day. The next cycle is much better planned, albeit shorter, because I believe there’s a need to always tweak it. The shorter the planning, the disrupt when tweaked compared to a longer planned training is less difficult
I’ll have six phases for the upcoming schedule, and each phase can last up to two to four months. So that’s a whole year if stacked up, from off-season, building phase, pre-competition, competition and such periods. So the culmination of work the past week in planning have been tedious. Lots of reading, setting up excel charts, and such is all worth it in my opinion, as at the end of the day, I could only get better right
So far the planning is based on the below training philosophies
- My Own Experiences
- My Old Coach Training
- Charlie Francis: Ben Johnson Coach
- Clyde Hart: Micheal Johnson Coach
- Brian Mac: UK Athletics Senior Coach
- Frank Dirk: British Athletic Director of Coaching
