Being in pain is part and parcel of my training regime. I keep pushing and pushing my body to the limit as much as I can. Stay with me here aite. Well I was watching an online video coverage of the upcoming Olympics and they featured a “against all odds” kind of film feature. BBC featured a potential 400m runner Nery Brenes, from Costa Rica
During the video, he was filmed training, and I saw he was doing somewhat similar workout like me . He did 12x100m of 11s average with spikes. While recently myself I did 16x100m with trainers of 13s average. The dude was also filmed in ‘pain’ and recovering after each session. At that instance I can truly relate to him
Yes we don’t look pretty when we’re training, in pain, salivating probably but aside from the groan and heavy puffing, we have one objective in our mind, “Run Hard, Run Fast and Run Smart”. I think that’s on the mind of every athlete who wants to achieve their goal. Have the desire, plan, action and achieve. So what is your desire?
