Day 92: Cardio (8.32km in 38:59min)

It seems I’ve been running in the evening lately, compared to the last few weeks when I was sweating it out in the hot afternoon sun.

I might say, on both condition, my pace more or less is about the same.

As for today, the pace is around 4:41 minutes per km.

Seems slow, but then again I added the run up the 12 storey hill at Woodlands Town Park East.

At the top of the hill, I was panting like hell, and it reminds me of my slopes training previously at NUS Kent Ridge or NTU.

The lactic in the legs, the huffing and puffing … so much fun! Hahaha yes I’m a sadist.

Well I continued with my more intense upper body workout halfway through my run at the fitness corner.

The tightness in the shoulder, biceps and surrounding arms is coming back.

It makes the running after the upper body workout a whole lot difficult, but it’s good as it reminds me of my last phase of 400m where I need to dig deep, keep pumping, keep driving and keep on running.

First half of the run, I visualized I’m Haile Gebrselassie, haha. And it works, as I was ‘flying’.

Second half of the run, I visualized my aggressiveness that I used to display during my sprint days.

The Haile Gebrselassie, visualization ain’t working for the second half of the run as my body is calling me out to quit, so I needed to be more aggressive.

Well that’s for today, another workout day awaits tomorrow!
