I took last Saturday off after having some twitches on my left toe there.
The joints there ain’t feeling ‘right’. I’ve a knack of knowing possible injuries, that’s why I rarely get injured these few years.
As they say, prevention is better than cure right.
Anyway today I had the same ‘feeling’ as last Saturday, but I opted to run as I felt coop-up, I just had to run after two non-running days.
I ran extra longer today and with the hot weather, the pace was considerably affected.
I ran a 4:32 minute per km and I guess that’s about the right pace for a hot afternoon.
Anyway when running today, not only I was slow, but my legs felt extra ‘heavy’ today.
As if some 5kg plate was attached to it. I had to put an extra effort just to keep the pace going.
Hmm maybe it’s just one of those day when my body ain’t functioning, even though the mind is willing.
At the end of the run, as usual I was totally drenched. I could fill a glass of water with my sweat … eeyywww.
The body conditioning prior to the run, I did something new from the past. So that was alright.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better running day!
