Day 8: Weights

Today my body was really taking its toll from tough training, I was so tired that when I tried to wakeup on designated time, I just plonk back into bed and dozed off

So I started the day later than usual today. I got to the gym and it’s ‘busy’ as usual. I observed new faces, and it stop short there of me looking around. I focused on training.

I just hate it when people are too ‘friendly’ at the gym and start up a conversation. If I wanted to talk, then go online you moron. They have nice intentions, but I would like to be left alone during training please

Type Workout: Weights & Cardio

Morning Session : 2 hours plus (11.26 to 1.35pm)

  1. Jump (Olympic Bar) 3×13 of 50kg, 55kg, 60kg
  2. Bench Press (Olympic Bar) 3×13 50kg, 50kg 50kg
  3. Hamstring (Machine) 3×13 of 105lbs, 115lbs, 125lbs
  4. Pull-Down (Machine) 3×13 of 110lbs, 120lbs, 120lbs
  5. Vertical Shoulder (Dumbell) 3×13 5.5kg
  6. Inclined Abs front + back (with 20kg Weights) 3×25
  7. Lie down + Leg pushout (with 15kg Weights) 3×13
  8. Weights Plyometrics
    • Box Jump: 3×10 jumps
    • Hurdle Jump: 7×7 hurdles jump
    • Bound then Sprint: 3 sets

Afternoon Session: 17 minutes 25 seconds (Around 9pm)

  • Cardio Jogging
  • Target Heartbeat: 70% or 133HB
  • Outcome Heartbeat: 162HB
  • Pullup/Pushup
  • Abs/Back

Morning Session

Gym today, I had no new breakthrough. My bench press is still stuck at 50kg marker. Hopefully next week I’ll be more garang to try 55kg

As the day goes by, I find that the number of people in the gym dwindled as it approaches afternoon, around lunch time. Hmm too bad it’s too late of a time to start my training session. As I said, I prefer lesser people around when training

As usual, people looked at this uncle as I did my workout, wondering who’s this moron, doing all the weird training workouts. Bleah go eat spider lah you all, so kaypoh

After gym, I did plyometrics. Since I can’t afford some of the items to be used for training, I improvised with the available resources that’s around me. I’m a poor athlete, if anyone wants to sponsor me, we can work out a deal on this blog :)

Afternoon Session

My jogging session was again cut short again today as I woke up late after my nap. Wanting to catch my daily News on tv, I had a short run around the neighborhood

It seems I picked up a twitch on my right knee from plyometrics earlier in the day. I had iced it, but it’s still there. I do hope it will be ok by tomorrow as for speed workout, I need to fully utilized my leg injury free

During the jog, I had conflicting thoughts. One to go fast, while thoughts of the twitch was always at the back of my mind. I tried to jog on the grass instead of the pavement to ‘save’ the knee
