Day 76: Cardio (7.85km in 33:53)

I felt fresh today as I took a day off yesterday.

It was an impromptu decision, considering I was feeling a little ‘tired’, so some rest won’t hurt the workout planning this week.

I ran 7.85km today in 33:53 minutes. The route I took was an isolated one for runners, running at Woodlands Avenue 12, where there’s heavy traffic and clear vision all around.

So that’s about 4:18 minutes per km, not bad, but I could go faster if I were to push it.

During the run, I ran half the time on the grass patch beside the pavement.

It’s a good habit as it will ‘save’ your knees. I read somewhere that some certain marathon champion prolonged his running career as he could do more mileage than others, due to running on soft grounds.

It’s all about injury prevention when working out. The more you stay injury free, the better it is for you to progress to the next level faster than others.

The body conditioning I did was the usual today, I don’t know if I should increase the intensity as I’m settling for my current physique. Not too big, not too small for the upper body.

Next goal of mine is always finding ways to run efficient. My cadence and such needs improvement. I’ll work on that next.
