Day 71: Cardio (8.86km in 33:58)

My last training log was like last December, yes I’ve been MIA yet again my readers.

But not to fret, I’ve been keeping myself fit.

Well I wasn’t doing the usual track workouts these days, I just don’t have the time anymore, but more of conditioning and maintenance until I could return to my favorite athletics training.

Well today I ran like any other days. The usual jogging, skipping the pre-run abs workout, saving it for tomorrow.

I did 8.86km in 33:58. Hmm I don’t know if my watch is wrong, but that’s a pretty fast pace.

I actually planned to leave work at 3pm, but that didn’t happened, so I rescheduled to 4pm, unsuccessful yet again, by 5pm I’m still busy with work.

Well I finally managed to finish my project my 7pm. By 7.15pm I was in my trainers and off I went.

It makes a big difference if I were to run 5pm compared to 7pm. It really does.

I find it’s much easier on my breathing running in the evening, and the weather isn’t as punishing too. I felt good running, very fast throughout the run, without much trouble.

Still that wouldn’t stop me running in the late afternoon as most events are held then. So its better to train at a time when you’re going to ‘compete’ right.

In between the run, I stopped halfway to do the usual upper-body conditioning. It’s getting easier I noticed, so I’ll likely increase the reps.

It’s been a long day. Good night all.
