Hello there again, I’m back.
I took a week off to finally heal my right ankle problem and other injuries. Coming back, my knees felt better, I’m more energetic but the ankle is still a bit sensitive.
To cater to that I brought out my ankle guard. Hopefully it will be suffice.
Also I have a new trainer. It was a birthday gift. I just love presents that is usable, rather than buying something for display only.
The trainers is New Balance model 902. It is light weight and good for race training, so I’ll probably use it for my tempo, speed endurance and running related sort of workouts.
As for weights, strength, and such related workouts, I’ll use my other heavy duty trainers with better impact absorption.
Trying out the new trainers was great, I was flying and felt light. My previous average for 7x400m workout was 1:23 minutes and today I easily clocked 1:15 minutes on average.
Is it the trainers, or could I’ve timed it wrongly previous or have I improved? Well that’s a 8 seconds improvement!
Blimey, well whatever it is, as long my timing are dropping I’m happy about it.
Going into the first set, I was pacing myself. Not to go too slow and not too fast. I got the pace right today.
I started a bit ‘slow’ and work the timing down and held it there with little timing difference for each set.
A good workout to start my Phase 2, as I hit my intended target time.
I ended with body conditioning. Although I was away for a week, it felt I was never away. The training today was kinda ok, manageable on my part.
