Thoughts
I woke up today with a stiff aching back. Every time I slept more than 8 hours I’ll surely get it. A nice right about sleeping length for me is 7 hours on the dot.
Also my shoulders was kinda stiff too, probably from yesterday’s pullup and pushup body conditioning. Well time waits for no man, as I headed to the nearby open field to do sledge training.
This is a good off-season workout. It’s short, simple and sweet, but totally intense, need you giving your 100% effort for each run.
One thing I advice you when doing this on the field is to check for potholes and apply insect repellent. Trust me you don’t want to snap your ankle or get bitten by insects and itching all over.
The workout was rather ok, my first of such sledge training in a long time. Still feel a bit odd when bursting off, still need getting used to running low and gaining confidence that I won’t fall over.
I must also work on my fast action leg cadence, which is not my strong point. Must always remind myself to be fast, going faster and faster.
Ended the session with quick short burst, slow jog and some stretching.
There’s still another session later on today. It’s a double workout for Saturday since I skipped Tuesday to recover from injury, and the workouts for the week pushed back.
