Day 60: Tempo Endurance (5x600m)

The last workout was gym session, so its inevitable as usual the next day I woke up with aches and pain all over. Not that evere kind of pain but enough for me to grimace and walk like an old dude.

Luckily the dynamic warmup helps to ‘loosen’ up my tight and aching body. I did the usual drills and run to sweat it out first, which took around an hour.

Next up is the actual workout of the day. Of course there’s trepidation every time I step to the line, hoping I’ll meet the target time.

Well for today I didn’t. The closest time I got was 1:52 of the desired 1:50 and on average I ran 1:57.

Not bad at all. Well at least I hit my training objective, which is to pant like hell after each run. That’s tempo for ya.

Also I noticed I got a backache after today’s workout. I must follow-through after each set rather than abrupt stop at the finish line. That’s a bad habit which came back today. Must rectify this, I should have know better after years of running.

It started to drizzled as I was warming down and getting ready for my body conditioning. I ran for shelter and well at least it gives me a reason not to do it eh … I promise to do it tomorrow.
