Day 324: Gym

Disclaimer: By doing my workouts and blogging it online here, I’m not seeking attention, nor am I an exhibitionist. I’m the type that follow-through my training much better if I put it in writing. I workout because I can, and I love doing so. Do not try to emulate my training program, I bear no responsibility if you do so. I’m no role-model, not your papa, mama, your soulmate, or someone you can look-up to, nor am I’m a national athlete … I am just a NOBODY. So just leave me be.


Hi there, I’m back. Well what’s the reason behind my MIA of blogging my training logs here. Well it’s a mixture of being injured, and not having the mojo to write anything down.

But that doesn’t mean I’ve given up my passion. I’m just focusing more on rest, recovering on my busted left knee, which has been recuperating well.

I’m now into my 17th week of training. Time sure passes by fast. It’s August and there’s only a few more competitions for me before the local athletics scene here wrap up and goes into the off-season.

Today I ventured to Khatib to check out its gym. Although I like the nearby stadium for its being so isolated from the public, the gym is a rather popular place, schoolkids especially.

Workout of the Day

Note: I’ve omitted specific details of my training. Previously I was doing and writing my own workout, thus I wasn’t hesitant to share it with other people. Since now I’m doing consistently my coaches program, it’s right and fair that I don’t disclose his workout sessions, but instead just provide a general training detail instead. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

1) Some Foam Roller

2) Dynamic Warmup

3) Gym

4) Barefoot Running / Active Recovery

5) Foam Roller / Stretching / Massage

When I arrived 4pm then, it was already abuzz with young kids. It was too crowded of a place for me. From far although the gym looks spacious, looks can be deceiving, it was a rather cramped gym session for me.

Plus the shower area stinks, I mean literally. It stank of excrement, and I had to endure the stench when I showered.

Still training goes on. I’m back to doing weights after a long time, and it showed when I lacked the strength at some of the stations. Oh well, it’s back to square one.
