After my bloody Monday training yesterday, it’s inevitable that I’ll be aching and tired the next day, indeed I was. I was truly exhausted earlier in the morning.
It’s to be expected, but I know this is temporary and it will pass. I just need to recover diligently, and not do anything out of the ordinary. Stick to my routine, and everything will be fine.

Today’s training location was at NUS as usual. I arrived about an hour earlier than the rest as I had to detour to purchase something along the way.
I bought a new whey protein. It’s Ultimate Nutrition 5lbs for $59.90. Pretty cheap I reckon as they’re trying to get rid of the old stocks. Hey whey is whey, it doesn’t matter if it’s ‘old’ stuff right. It’s a matter of how you consume it that will translate in effective usage.

Workout of the Day
Note: I’ve omitted specific details of my training. Previously I was doing and writing my own workout, thus I wasn’t hesitant to share it with other people. Since now I’m doing consistently my coaches program, it’s right and fair that I don’t disclose his workout sessions, but instead just provide a general training detail instead. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Training today for the first time ever I did overspeed. The last time I did this was probably back in 2007 at VJC. Our training group was there initially, but the coach moved to a new job, and now we’re located at NUS.
I’ve always had phobia of doing overspeed. I clipped on the line several times, even to falling down, so yeah I’ve had my reservations earlier when running.
Still I buck-up and focused on the training objective, to run faster than my top-end speed. Well it worked I reckon, as my timing for the 30m blocks, was faster than usual.
Well it’s back to recovery now as I’m writing this. The coach told us we’ve a race coming up, and relays will be part of our race itinerary too. Woohoo, fun!
