I’m the type that follow-through my training much better if I put it in writing. I workout because I can, and I love doing so. Do not try to emulate my training program, I bear no responsibility if you do so. I’m no role-model, not your papa, mama, your soulmate, or someone you can look-up to, nor am I’m a national athlete … I am just a NOBODY. So just leave me be. You know what I’m am really exhausted by now as I’m writing this entry. I really am glad my training week has ended, and I look forward to recuperate and recover over the weekend, well whatever is left of it. Still work beckons, and I do hope it doesn’t get in my way of my respite. If only I have a trust-fund or something eh. Perhaps some kind soul who’s willing to sponsor my sporty endeavors, that sure will make my life much easier.
Well anyway let’s quit playing fantasy eh, there’s no such thing as a miracle or a free lunch in this world. You gotta earn your stripes. That’s what I’ve learned so far in my lifetime. It’s all up to you, and nobody is ever willing to help anyone, unless they want something in return. The training today went quite alright. I dropped by the empty field near my place to do my medicine ball. A great secluded place to do all my ‘shite’ without much stares. Status
Workout of the Day
Despite being an easy week, my body was just feeling tired the whole week. Work was messing with my mind I reckon. But I trod on, as would any dedicated person would. The weather was forgiving today, there were cloud covers, and no rain to get in my way or muddied my training area. It’s been awhile since I did medicine ball, and if you’re a sprinter, you should include such workout as it works on your explosiveness and CNS, essential in running fast.
I then proceed with jumps, emulating how I would burst out of my blocks. I’ve to remind myself to always pushup forward, not upwards. Lookout for potholes if you’re training in the field, you do not want to get injured. Sled comes next. I planned ten of such runs, pulling the weight, but reduced it to just eight as my right knee felt a twitch. Better to be safe than sorry.
Lastly I ended my workout with a long cardio. It’s been months since I did such a long duration of a run, and it wasn’t that hard to get back into the running rhythm. Still I’ve to remind myself that I’m a sprinter, and not a distance runner. Doing too much of such cardio is not good for my fast twitch muscle. Well have a good weekend everybody, I sure am will try to make full use of mine!
