Disclaimer: By doing my workouts and blogging it online here, I’m not seeking attention, nor am I an exhibitionist. I’m the type that follow-through my training much better if I put it in writing. I workout because I can, and I love doing so. Do not try to emulate my training program, I bear no responsibility if you do so. I’m no role-model, not your papa, mama, your soulmate, or someone you can look-up to, nor am I’m a national athlete … I am just a NOBODY. So just leave me be.

Well it’s public holiday week, and the thing about such period is that every places would be either be closed or opened late. I read from the gym bulletin board last week that the facilities would be open as per normal today, but I didn’t read the fine-print it would be opened two hours later than usual.

So I arrived at the gym much earlier than expected, and with it still being closed, I moved to the stadium to do my core workout. Well I finished my core quite fast, I completed it in around 10-15 minutes, so I just laid back, took a breather and just observed the joggers around.

I noticed my old alma mater, a group of them was training at the stadium. That’s cool, I’ve never had that kind of attention when I was in the track team back then, it was really up to our own initiative.

Anyway being a to-do person, I can’t sit still in the stadium, so I did some drills to pass time until it’s 9am, that’s when the gym will be opened.

I didn’t do so much of drills, just enough to get my legs all warmed up. Earlier while jogging to my training location, my body was darn stiff, that’s the thing of working-out in the morning, your body is still ‘asleep’.

Once the gym was opened, I started my usual routine. There were a few old faces I observed, hardcore gym users like me, but mostly there were plenty of new faces. I reckon it’s because of the public holiday, so the gym was more packed than usual.

Again the waiting time for using the equipment was rather ok, I still however have to wait awhile for some stations. In particular there’s this old dude that truly pisses me off.

On two stations he dilly-dally for his workout. He did some reps, then rested for a long time, looked around and taking his own bloody sweet time. Who the hell rest 4-5 minutes when you just did a few reps of light weights. Moron!

I was glad to be out of the gym by 10.45am, as it was getting more and more packed. I proceed to the stadium to do the conversion.

I did my box jump first. Hmm looks like I improved, I was jumping higher than 96cm it seems. That’s good eh … After that it’s into the stadium for hurdles, leg drives drills, bounding and lastly some sprints.

Well I kinda felt a twitch on my right groin, I stopped doing the last set of the run as self-preservation kicked in. I do hope it’s nothing serious. I can still feel it when I get up or sit down currently. Oh well, the only thing I can do now is think positively and be optimistic.
