I’m the type that follow-through my training much better if I put it in writing. I workout because I can, and I love doing so. Do not try to emulate my training program, I bear no responsibility if you do so. I’m no role-model, not your papa, mama, your soulmate, or someone you can look-up to, nor am I’m a national athlete … I am just a NOBODY. So just leave me be. Alright an update on my injuries today. As I predicted it’s nothing serious, so far the strain on my right shoulder and right waist has dissipated. I didn’t even realise it was there until the thought randomly popped into my mind. You could say I’m 90 per cent fit, but however I am exhausted psychologically, the training week so far has been taxing for me. I kept this in mind when I did staircase training earlier.
After work, and the usual nap, I checked the weather forecast. It said it’s gonna rain. Hmm indeed the skies had an ominous look to it when I peeked out the window, grey clouds hovering promising of a shower, but the weather held, it didn’t rained when I completed my training, and jogged back home. My training location as usual is void of people. It all indicates that people around here doesn’t seem to care about their fitness and health. But then again I was working-out around 3.30pm, most weekend warriors are probably waiting for evening time to start pounding the pavement perhaps? Workout of the Day
Anyway upon arrival after my 15 minutes jog, I did some dynamic warmup, to get the joints moving. I felt rather lethargic today. I planned to do eights sets today, and hopefully the sickening half-squat workouts. Based on previous similar training performance, I ran faster today on average and the fastest run was half a second faster. So that’s good.
Earlier, as I approached the sixth set, I decided to call it a day, and run the last leg up the hill. I felt my body is just not in-tune for any more punishment. I need to recharge myself. Cutting short today’s training, plenty of food, and an early night should do the trick. I had a fan watching me today earlier by the way. A chubby little kid on his bicycle was observing me. When I was a kid, all of my friends including me was scrawny skinny. Of course we played plenty back then, and kids should be doing that naturally. That probably attribute to our skinny frame. We still eat candies and stuff, if we can afford it of course, but we didn’t go flabby. I’m just appalled at parents who can’t say NO to their kids. It doesn’t mean you love them a whole lot lesser if you don’t give-in to their whims and demands. I believe once you go down that road, you’re setting your children up for a lifetime of issues. So parents, start saying NO!
