I’m the type that follow-through my training much better if I put it in writing. I workout because I can, and I love doing so. Do not try to emulate my training program, I bear no responsibility if you do so. I’m no role-model, not your papa, mama, your soulmate, or someone you can look-up to, nor am I’m a national athlete … I am just a NOBODY. So just leave me be. This is becoming of a bad habit of me, I snoozed my alarm clock today, not once, but twice! Hmm I shall try to rectify this on my next workout morning session. During my jog to my training location, I observed that there were more senior citizen exercising than people my age. I only encountered a single person who looks my age while jogging. It’s all about initiative I reckon. We all know it’s wise to exercise if you want to be healthy, and there’s no reason not to. The information is out there, the media has played its part, but it’s really up to us to get the ball rolling so to say. When I was still working 8-to-5, I would usually wake up around 6am, have a 45 minute workout, clean myself up, and off I went to the office. Or you could do it later in the evening after work, so it’s doable. It’s never to late to start your exercise regime, why not start now.
Well anyway another incident to be added to the Hall of Shame. A bus just plough through a zebra crossing earlier, when I was about to cross it. I played my part, I saw the bus coming from a distance, I looked at it, stop short to signal my intention of my crossing, but the bus didn’t play it’s part. It didn’t stop and just dashed through. Maybe the driver was behind his bus route schedule, still it is reckless. What if I didn’t stop at the crossing, but decide to put my faith that the driver will stop. Well the bus is likely to have a few scratches, while for me, I’ll lay motionless on the road after behind hit. Moron … The bus number is TIB1094E, the incident happened around 9.43am, at the bus exit of Woodlands Interchange going into Woodlands Avenue 2. Workout of the Day
Today’s workout I was delighted when I weigh-in myself. I now am weighing at a scale of 69.1 kilograms proudly. Before I started this new training regime, I was hovering at 67.4kg. Well it’s been a month into my training, and around this time it’s all about tweaking your program to maximise your output, in my case, to be stronger, bigger and faster. The gym session went without a hitch today, except for the bench press part, I had to wait a few minutes before it was my turn. There was no hogging of the machines by any gym users today.
I left for my outdoor part of the training around 1 hour 30 minutes running time. I did the same usual box jump, hurdles and bounding, the only variation is the reps and sets. Despite doing the same workout again and again, I believe in getting better over time, in terms of my form and performance. There has to be improvements, or you’ll need to find ways to rectify that. Stagnation is my main fear in the coming future, I do hope I won’t reach that point. Overall the workout today took around two hours. Sounds about right. My advise, don’t stay too long in the gym, you’re better off doing other more rewarding and constructive stuff. Unless you’re a PRO bodybuilder, I can’t comprehend at these gym rats who stays for hours. I’d say, get in, get pumped, get out.
