As of today I’ve started to taper my training to suit my upcoming annual physical IPPT test.
I’ve reduced today’s pullup by one rep to 3sets x 11reps, I’m working on my plyometrics for the standing board jump, and ran hard for the first sub 9min of my run to simulate my 2.4km run.
Well I’m trying to aim my last year 2.4km timing of 8:55 minute, and today at the 8:45 minute marker as I observed my watch, I hit 2.23km according to the MapMyRun tool.
I would like to think that I could hit 2.4km faster than last year, as it was a wet day earlier, plus all that stopping at the plenty of curves and traffic light.
The overall pace was 4:02 minute per km, so mathematically I’m on target for a sub 9 minute timing for my upcoming physical test run.
Alright everything looks it’s going to plan, now I’ve just to focus on my diet and recovery next, not that I’ve been slacking much anyway.
