Day 17: Improvised Training |

Today was supposed to be Speed Endurance, but it rained heavy. The track was wet and the jump sandpits was flooded. So I did part of Speed today and will finish the last part when I do my Gym tomorrow
With that, Saturday’s Speed workout will be replaced by Speed Endurance. I’ll hope it won’t rain of course. If not, I’ll suck thumb I guess. It’s rainy season over here now, so I hope lady luck will be good to me on Saturday
Type Workout: Speed (About 1 hour plus)
- 7 seconds tapping
- On the spot 3x
- Staircase 3x
- Sitting 3x
- Alternate one leg staircase jump 3x
- Staircase drop 3x
- Staircase squat jump 3x
Type Workout: Jogging & Body Conditioning (About 40 minutes)
- Front/Back/Oblique Abs (5×50)
- Pullup (6×5)
- Pushup (6×5)
- Cardio Jogging (15 minutes)
Thoughts
The workout was supposed to be done on more softer ground like grass and track, but since it rained, I had to do it indoors on hard concrete. Thus to prevent my legs go aching and injuries being inflicted, I reduced the sets
I did my usual dynamic warmup, it wasn’t raining then, but as I was about to proceed with my today’s planned training, it rained cats & dogs. Nothing I can do about it, but improvised
The speed workout feels awkward every time I do it on concrete, just doesn’t feels right. But I focused on the goal of the workout. To activate and train my central nervous system (CNS) that controls the speed in me
I followed closely to the timing and watched out more than usual when doing the training as it was slippery from all that rain. My leg now after training as I’m writing this entry, it feels fine. No twitching or ache so far, but I’ll see my condition tomorrow morning. I do hope it will be fine
