Actually today was my overall total body workout at home, but as soon I woke up from my nap, and the very reason the nap was abruptly interrupted was waking up to the sound of my landlord blasting away at the karaoke.
So rather than putting myself in agony with the strings of oldies repertoire being belted out, I decided to go for a run.
It was a good day for a run, it showered earlier, thus the cool setting. Still the ground was wet and I don’t like slippery routes.
The pace today was faster than yesterday, at 4:15 min per/km.
I didn’t do any fartleks, just running in one gear most of the time, with plenty of slopes to challenge me, which was obviously torturous but gratifying when I reached the top.
Anyway I noticed that I’ve that this lingering competitive streak in me left from my athletics days. During the run, I caught up with a bicycle, and had to slow down before making my pass.
A kid was running on the opposite of the route, running parallel to me and he was pacing me it seems. Well I love a challenge, so off I went with my ok-ok pace … who won?
Me of course! … Hahaha yes I won’t even spare a thought even if it’s a kid when it comes to running. I love to win!
