Day 161: Cardio (9.74km in 42:06min) |

I rested for two days earlier last week. For one, work is piling up and secondly I needed the rest. Sometimes your body will just tell ya it’s about time for some recovery.
It used to be once I was so oblivious to such signs, but I learned along the way, and with that I’ve had far lesser injuries than most people.
Started the run today with a drizzle. It’s the monsoon season over here, so it’s no surprise. Rain or shine, I’ll be out there pounding the pavement. No abs and core today, just cardio and upper body.
For the run itself, I tried to implement the new techniques and philosophies of the Alexander Technique. It’s far harder than I imagined as I’m too used to my running habit.
The idea is to be wary of your running form. Sometimes as much as running with an iPod can be fun, it’s distracting, and we fall back to our bad running habits.
By being wary of how you run, being conscious on your breathing, feet placement, torso rotation and such, only then over time, can we break our old habits and form new ones.
It doesn’t mean that you can’t run with an iPod, you can do so, but just be wary. The best way to stay off injured, achieve faster timings, and better goals is to run efficiently.
Anyway my pace today was 4:19 min per/km
