Second day of training week, and things are looking fine. The weather today was an absolute delight. Nice cloud cover, and the pretty windy to my liking.
Of course, the downside of being windy, if I’m running in the opposite direction of the wind, the resistance will add to my running effort.
There was one point on a long stretch of jogging path, for which the wind was really strong. I had to really run ‘hard’ against it. Pretty much reminds me of resistance training during my sprinting days.
The pace today was 4:10 minute per km. The route I took was rather new, and one I’ve not ran across before, so that was fun not knowing what to expect.
The good thing running in the evening around industrial estate is that there will be plenty of cyclist; factories workers ending their work shifts, cycling home. With that I could pace some of the faster cyclist. It’s a good challenge.
I did abs and core, but skipped upper body workout for today. I’ll add more routine slowly as the day goes by, so as my still exhausted body can recover and get used to the load.
