Day 106: Cardio (7.52km in 35:02min)

I contemplated not working out today, as I have a deadline later on in the night for one of my project. I thought there won’t be any time for my workout as my schedule was packed tight today …

But then again I thought to myself, there’s no such thing as no time, you just have to make time!

Well with that, I did a mini-workout today, just enough to get the ‘juices’ going. I just did the running part, skipping the abs, core, and upper body. There was no warm-up too.

It was just putting on my kit, socks, trainer, shades and off I went pounding the pavement.

My usual workout would usually take around 1h 20mins in total from warmup to ending the day with a nice shower and dinner. But today it just took about 50 minutes.

Pretty fast eh, and like I said, there’s no such thing as no time. It’s just excuses people make not wanting to go through the rigors of working out as it’s associated with pain and hardship.

Well the pace for me today took a toll, with little warmup and last minute preparation. It was 4:39 minute per km.

I also had a late lunch, so halfway through the run, I can feel my pasta at my throat, haha. But I held it and completed the run as best as I can.

It was freaking hot too! What kept me going was my ice cold Gatorade at the end of the run. I sure don’t want to that again, as running at the last minute is fcuked up man. It’s like running the sprints without doing your dynamic warmup, drills and trial run. It will result in shoddy timing.

Well it’s back to work now, gotta pay the rent and bills.
