Probiotics

  1. Digestive disease specialists are recommending them for disorders that frustrate conventional medicine, such as irritable bowel syndrome
  2. Probiotics are generally considered safe — they’re already present in a normal digestive system
  3. Helps to neutralise some of the toxic by-products of digestion, reduce harmful substances (such as toxins and carcinogens)
  4. Discourage harmful bacteria and yeasts from setting up home within the gut
  5. Help the cells of the gut grow and stay healthy
  6. There’s also the Light version for some Probiotics, which only contains around 3g sugar (instead of 11g)

Veggies

  1. Act as an antioxidant in the body, which improves immune system function
  2. Raw vegetables are extremely rich in minerals, vitamins, trace elements, enzymes and natural sugars. All of these are things that your body needs to function properly and the raw veggies will help stabilize and normalize your natural bodily functions
  3. Enzymes in raw vegetables help your body digest food. This is one of the reasons that green vegetables are sometimes considered “nature’s laxative” because they get your stomach working properly
  4. Of the cooking methods, steaming has been shown to retain the largest amount of vitamin content although it still reduces it
  5. Greens are packed with nutrients, especially vitamin C, calcium, folate, lutein and beta carotene.
  6. For example just a cup of cooked spinach and Swiss chard contains more than a third of the daily recommendation of iron for women and half the recommendation for men
  7. Green vegetables are the food most missing from modern diets. They strengthen blood and immune systems, prevent cancer and fight depression naturally
  8. The fiber in raw greens will keep your digestive tract moving, and many natural-health advocates report that greens are energy-giving foods, increasing mental clarity and sustaining energy. Instead of that afternoon cup of coffee, try some greens in a lightly flavored broth. You may find that the greens keep you going longer than a temporary caffeine buzz would

Milk

  1. Studies suggest that including 24 oz. of fat free or lowfat milk every 24 hours as part of a reduced-calorie diet may help people lose more weight and burn more fat than cutting calories alone
  2. Researchers at Indiana University found that drinking chocolate milk is one of the best things an athlete can do to recover from an intense workout. In fact chocolate milk was twice as effective as a commercial sports drink. The researchers say it’s the unique combination of carbohydrates and protein in chocolate milk (as opposed to white milk) that makes it ideal for exhausted muscles
  3. Calcium: Helps build and maintain strong bones. It’s also vital for nerve function, muscle contraction, and blood clotting.
  4. Protein: Important for a number of bodily functions — vital to brain development and the growth of body tissues.
  5. Vitamin A: Maintains normal vision and skin. Helps regulate cell growth and integrity of the immune system.
  6. Vitamin B-12: Essential for the growth and health of the nervous system. Linked to normal activity of folic acid and is involved in blood formation.
  7. Vitamin D: Promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and influences bone mineralization, the strengthening of bones.
  8. Potassium: Regulates the body’s fluid balance and blood pressure. It also is needed for muscle activity and contractions.
  9. Phosphorus: Helps generate energy in the body’s cells and influences bone mineralization, the strengthening of bones.
  10. Niacin: Keeps enzymes functioning normally and helps the body process sugars and fatty acids. It is also important for the development of the nervous system.
  11. Riboflavin: Helps produce energy in the body’s cells and plays a vital role in the development of the nervous system.

Red Rice

  1. In terms of nutrition, red rice contains a higher fiber content than white rice
  2. It is generally agreed that red rice has more flavor than brown or white rice
  3. The flavor of red rice has been described as nutty and earthy
  4. The rice is quite aromatic
  5. When the rice is grown in high level location, the plant gains specific benefits. Food experts believe that the elevation in this area,, benefits the flavor of the ice. It is also possible that it is the water that the rice is grown in, which is fed by a glacier above the patties, is a credit to the flavor of the grain
  6. Red rice grain contains more natural bran than white rice, it requires a longer time to cook

Boiled Chicken

  1. Healthiest way to prepare chicken
  2. Used by bodybuilders for pre-competition fat loss diet
  3. But Boiled Chicken everyday will drive anyone insane, so keep the diet a mixture of other protein sources
  4. Boiled Chicken breast has nearly 0 grams of fat, assuming that is skinned, and if you simply boil it you are looking at getting the least amount of calories with the highest possible protein level
  5. People who want to gain mass and in the same time lose some of the fat, they can eat this
  6. Boiled chicken breast is the source of protein which has the lowest sodium and lowest fat content
  7. Just let the chicken “air dry” for a few minutes. DON’T squeeze it flat to get out the rest of the water. The amount retained naturally in the Chicken from boiling is perfect to keep the muscle at it’s exact fullness that it’s suppose to be
